| Travel Information/Directions
We have limited parking space and prefer restricted movement once arriving at the retreat, so we encourage visitors to carpool whenever practical. The following routes are best if traveling to Hendersonville by car:
I-26 west from Greenville/Spartanburg, SC; I-85 south to 74 west to I-26 west from Charlotte, NC; I-40 west to I-26 east from Greensboro/Winston-Salem, NC; and I-40 east to I-26 east from Knoxville, TN. From I-26 take exit 49B onto US-64 toward Hendersonville.
Driving from downtown Asheville: Take the I-240 W exit 3 toward I-26; Stay straight to go onto I-240 E; I-240 E becomes ramp. Merge onto I-240 W; merge onto I-26 E/US 74 E via the exit on the left toward Hendersonville/Spartansburg/Asheville Airport. From I-26 E take exit 49B onto US-64 W toward Hendersonville.
Directions to hermitage from Hendersonville: from US-64 turn left (South) onto Church St. (US Highway 25), right onto Kanuga Road, right onto Willow just over the railroad tracks. Go about 3 miles to the fork where Willow turns left and Finley Cove Rd bears to the right. Bear right at yellow sign w/black arrow onto Finley Cove Road. Pass the white house on the left and turn left onto Wisdom Lane at the Buddha sign. (See picture in right column on this web page.) Wisdom Lane is a gravel road – use caution when turning in. Follow the gravel road past the round house (there will be a horseshoe curve), to the end at the Community House.

By air:
Asheville Regional Airport is about 20 minutes drive from Hendersonville, and is served by four airlines, U.S. Airways, Delta, Continental and Northwest Airlines. Greenville-Spartanburg (SC) International Airport and Charlotte (NC) International Airport are convenient to Hendersonville, and are serviced by all major airlines.
Greenville/Spartanburg Airport (SC) is a 1½ hour drive to Hendersonville; Charlotte (NC) is two hours; other international airports are Knoxville, Tennessee (2½ hour drive) and Atlanta, Georgia (3½ hour drive). We will arrange transportation to and from the Hermitage if you arrive at either the Asheville Regional Airport or the Greenville/Spartanburg International Airport.
